The Astoria School District is notifying all interested persons that a "sign on" bonus of $500 will be given to any eligible yellow bus driver who is officially hired by the school district at the upcoming monthly School Board meetings in September-December as either a regular/daily route driver, or a sub driver or a trip driver. Also current drivers (regular, sub or trip yellow bus drivers) will be receiving a "retention bonus" at the end of September.  We appreciate all of our current and future bus drivers!


Anyone interested in becoming a yellow bus driver, please see Andy or Olliebea Crossman at Astoria High School for information on how to get started in the process. The school district will pay for the necessary training and required physical and any necessary background checks and fingerprinting costs. Bonus payment will be made to the recipient by the end of the month that the driver is officially hired at a school board meeting.
