"Hello everyone! My name is Kelsey Dean and I am the PreK-12 School Social Worker for the Astoria School District. This is my 8th year as the social worker here and I could not be happier to be continuing my career in this community. I received by Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Bradley University and my Master's Degree in School Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. When I am not at work, I love to spend my free time with my two wonderful children, husband, and dog as well as traveling to visit extended family in the Chicago area. When at school, I am available to meet with students to address any and all social-emotional needs, teach social skills, and provide services to students receiving individualized education services as well as work with families to connect them with outside services and resources. I work hard to make myself accessible to all of our students as well as their families so please never hesitate to contact me through phone call or email at any time and I will do whatever I can to provide help and support!"

"Hi! My name is Sadie Dabney and I am the PreK-12 School Counselor here at Astoria Schools. This is my fourth year as the counselor here. Prior to earning my degree from Bradley University in counseling, I taught special education here for four years. I am also certified to teach Social Science, Science, and Language Arts in the junior high as well as self-contained elementary school classrooms. In my free time, you can find me with my two children, a good book, or adventuring outside with family. Please know that I am available to all students for post-secondary questions and exploration, class grades/GPA/class rank questions, state testing questions and results, and any personal or social-emotional items whether they be school related or not. My number one goal as the counselor is to be available to our students and as I often tell students, "I do not know what you do not tell me" so please do not hesitate to reach out via email or a phone call to the school!"
